Performance Transmissions started in Arlington, Texas, in 1996. It has been owned and operated by a dedicated professional to this day. The owner is vital to the operation’s success because they’re among the few owners involved in day-to-day operations. To ensure quality, they are also one of the shop’s lead builders.
By late 2000, the business had outgrown the former facility. 2002 the owner bought the land and building in Kennedale, Texas. The land encompasses 3.5 acres.
The building has six automotive lifts and a separate, enclosed transmission building room. The transmission Dyno machine is located adjacent to the building room. In 1996, the Dyno machine was purchased specifically for testing purposes of the high-performance units. Carryout units are tested for shift quality and hydraulic integrity.
Every one of our technicians and managers—basically every single employee from management on down—has 20 to 30 years of experience. Experienced individuals, including a seasoned professional in the transmission business since 1978, lead our team.
We also work with outside techs and transmission specialists. We take great pride in every unit that passes through our facility and hope to serve your company in the future.
